Car Touring in the Malaga Area

Car Touring in the Malaga Area

Malaga, Spain is one of the most lovely cities a person can visit. Situated in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia, this city is right on the Costa de Sol. This is a very historic area and has much to offer visitors.
To best enjoy a visit to Malaga, it is suggested that one reserve a car rental. Having a car on hand will greatly extend the territory you can cover. Buses and trains do not run to every location you may want to experience. Having your own vehicle removes that limitation.

With a car hire in Malaga Airport you are free to seek out the best beaches. Most tourists who have no car will walk to the closest beaches. Many will go to the La Malagueta. This is a very nice beach that is known for sunbathing. Located further east, well out of easy walking range, are a number of jewel-like beaches that are unknown to most tourists. They are quieter, cleaner and are even thought to be prettier than La Malagueta.

If you are an active person, you will know that the area is known for awesome rock climbing and hiking opportunities. The El Chorro gorge is a short 50 minute drive from Malaga. This gorgeous natural water way boasts the King's Walkway. This suspended boardwalk gives heart-stopping views of the gorge from the rim. The dedicated climber will also want to visit Via Ferrata and El Torcal. Both locations are an enjoyable drive inland.
Active people are not the only ones to benefit from a car hire in Malaga Airport. Those interested in night life and family fun will also appreciate the car rental. Malaga is an easy drive away from a number of tourist resort towns. Torremolinos, Nerja and Marbella are three such resorts easily reached by auto.

Torremolinos is well known as an alternative lifestyle friendly resort. It offers lively nightlife for the clubbers at night and family friendly dining for folks with kids during the day. There are dolphin spotting boat tours, a fine beach and many other water sport activities. Marbella is one of Spain's most cosmopolitan beach resorts. It offers golfing, horse racing and parasailing. Nerja is a quiet former fishing village. It offers stunning views from the Balcony of Europe amid the quiet backdrop of the Spanish sea. There are beaches, historic churches and the Caves of Nerja. All in all, having a car in Malaga is the best way to tour the area.
